American Petroleum Institute (API)
API is the only national trade association representing all facets of the natural gas and oil industry, which supports 10.3 million U.S. jobs and nearly 8 percent of the U.S. economy. API was formed in 1919 as a standards-setting organization. In its first 100 years, API has developed more than 700 standards to enhance operational and environmental safety, efficiency and sustainability.
Liquid Energy Pipeline Association (LEPA)
LEPA represents the interests of owners and operators of America’s liquid pipelines. Liquid pipelines bring crude oil to the nation’s refineries and important petroleum products to our communities, including all grades of gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, home heating oil, kerosene, propane, and biofuels. LEPA members also transport carbon dioxide to oil and natural gas fields, where it can be used efficiently to enhance production.
